Freelance Event Coordinator

Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and high-performing Freelance Event Coordinator who bears the following skills and qualities, to join us in growing an independent travel and lifestyle brand:

(i) To develop, plan and execute strategic programs in the space of wellness and self-development, according to our brand image and target demographic(s);

(ii) Ideate and assist in the production of various events, in tandem with the business' operations and development goals;

(iii) Perform post-event analysis and internal reporting to identify areas of improvement and future opportunities;

(iv) Be familiar with or conduct swift research and reporting on key industry trends and best practices, identifying potential business opportunities to enhance programming and engagement;

(v) Communicate with vendors and partners in a timely and efficient manner, conducting negotiations as necessary, and ensuring clear understanding of our requirements to produce the highest standard of service and best experience for our clients;

(vi) Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and potential clients;

(vii) Potential opportunities to travel for overseas events.

Requirements:

(i) Experience in events management, including sourcing and liaising with external vendors, with good understanding of logistics and operations, and ability to assess and keep to timelines;

(ii) A genuine interest in the travel and wellness industry, to design experiences that are engaging, meaningful and impactful for our audience;

(iii) An efficient project manager who can handle multiple projects simultaneously and work with tight timelines;

(iv) Strong problem-solving skills, with a flexible and responsive can-do attitude;

(v) Self-motivated, resourceful and comfortable working in a cross-functional environment;

(vi) Excellent writing and language skills, and is detail oriented;

(vii) Familiarity with design software (Canva, Adobe Lightroom/ Illustrator/ InDesign/ Photoshop, etc.) would be helpful, but not a requirement;

(viii) Basic physical fitness;

(ix) Able to work on weekends, public holidays and after standard office hours if necessary.
