Day by Day Highlights
Day 1 Casablanca (57m)
Marhaba! Fly into the Casablanca Mohamed V Airport. You will be greeted by our representative who will assist you clearing customs and immigration procedures.
Enjoy a light sightseeing to discover the fascinating city of Casablanca. The name Casablanca evokes thoughts of good living, romance and adventure in a tropical setting, an image that the 1943 Humphrey Bogart film conveyed to cinemagoers during World War II.
Visit the Mohammed V square, the United Nations square and the Arab League Park. During a stroll in the Quartier Habbous discover a modern medina. Take a step back tonight and have a culinary emotional experience at a legendary cafe from the movie Casablanca.
Day 2 Casablanca (57m)
Visit the magnificent Hassan II Grand Mosque, one of the few mosques that foreigners can visit in Morocco. Drive to Rabat – the capital of the Kingdom of Morocco and the seat of its government. Discover the ruins of the Citadel of Challah, the massive minaret of Hassan and the Mohammed V Mausoleum on your city tour of Rabat. Make sure to visit the Kasbah des Oudayas, where you can enjoy the beautiful views of the river and sea while sipping a mint tea.
Head to magical Fez, the cultural heart of Morocco. The sprawling medina of this UNESCO Cultural Heritage site will take you a step back in time to the middle Ages. Meet one of our amazing Insiders, a lecturer who has countless stories to share over a succulent Moroccan dinner.
Day 3 Fez (410m)
Step through Bab Boujloud and plunge into the world of Fez’ old medina, that many refer to as a living museum: a riot of colours, smells, sights and sounds.
Wander along the narrow alleyways, then step through a large, ornate wooden door and find yourself in an astonishingly different world.
Head out on an afternoon walk to Dyers souk of silk, wool and cotton. The Tannery, a real tradition of Fez, it is the liveliest and picturesque souks in Fez. Stop at the Nejarine Square, a beautifully restored house from the 18th century.
Cross the carpenter area and enter El Attarine street, filled with scents of Fes such as spices and oils.
Sit down to a traditional Moroccan dinner tonight at the house of a local family where they will welcome you with milk and dates – as per tradition. An explosion of flavours with a chance to sample a Tagine cooked meal of couscous with seven vegetables, pastilla with nuts and milk – mint tea with pastries.
Day 4 Meknes (546m)
Drive this morning to Volubilis (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), home to the largest and most well-preserved Roman ruins in Morocco. The greatest treasures of Volubilis are the superb mosaic floors. Continue to Meknes (yet another UNESCO World Heritage Site), one of the Imperial Cities of Morocco. During your visit to Meknes you will see the monumental Bab Mansour gateway, considered to be one of the finest of the great gates of Morocco. Be sure to visit Moulay Ismail’s Mausoleum, one of the few shrines in Morocco that can be visited by non-Muslims.
Head to an unique wine tasting experience in Meknes, complete with a visit to the ancient wine cellar, then start a tour of the wine yard on foot or on an Arabian Thoroughbred. Every 10 minutes, you can stop and enjoy some wine with Foie Gras, Truffles, dry fruits and finish with Belgium chocolate.
Day 5 Marrakech (466m)
Fly to Marrakech. Pearl of the South, Jewel of the South, The Red City – just a few of the nicknames Marrakech has acquired over the years. Part Berber, part Arab, part African, Marrakech is the heartbeat of Morocco where palaces and monuments of unrivalled refinement sit calmly alongside the snake charmers and Gnaoua drums pulsing constantly from Djemâa el Fna Square – the most exuberant marketplace in the world. The city is also home to luxury hotels, sophisticated bars and exotic restaurants.
Full of vivid colors and enchanting scents, take a glimpse at the Medina’s local life comfortably seated in a vintage sidecar. The old french neighborhood of Gueliz is also of great interest with its art deco buildings and remainings of the 1930’s local life.
Enjoy a relaxing dinner at Les 3 Saveurs restaurant at the legendary La Maison Arabe.
Day 6 Marrakech (466m)
Explore the Old Spice Market – The Rahba Kedima which is a colourful market filled with a wide array of spices from Cumin, Cinnamon, Saffron, Dried Pepper and more. Visit the ruined 16th century El Badii Palace,date back from the time of the sultan Ahmad al-Mansour (1578-1603).Next on to El Badii Palace – The Bahia Palace in Marrakech is a beautiful building and an excellent example of Eastern Architecture. Visit 12th century Koutoubia Mosque and its influential minaret along with its gardens. The largest mosque in Marrakech, Morocco.
Walk through the labyrinth like streets and alleys of Djemma El Fna Square. the city’s main square, home to a multitude of street-artists, stalls of dried fruit and freshly-pressed orange juice. Visit the Jewish Mellah – Founded in 1558 by Moulay Abdallah, the Mellah district was designated as the Jewish quarter in Marrakech.
Discover the magical gardens “Majorelle”. A tropical paradise, surrounded by vivid cobalt blue buildings with verdant exotic groves, lily-covered pools, and enormous sculptural cactuses. Make a visit to the newly opened YSL Musuem. Yves Saint Laurent had many muses, but only one Marrakech, the city where he discovered light and color, draping and caftans.
Day 7 Marrakech (466m)
This morning be transferred to the breath-taking Atlas Mountains, along the way you will enjoy the stunning views of the countryside and experience traditional Berber culture along the way. Enjoy one-hour hiking, then head for a special encounter, which offers a true insight into the Berber way of life.
Enjoy a mint tea break and a delightful Berber bread, and an enriching human exchange at the same time. Sit down for lunch at the Richard Branson’s house and return back to Marrakech.
Day 8 Marrakech (466m)
Bid farewell to Morocco as you are transfered to Menara Marrakech Airport in time for your international flight.
You will be guided through the customs and immigration before you board your flight!
